After graduating from WSU in 2001, Dr. Natalee managed to find her way from mixed animal practice to small animal practice. She joined Healthy Pets Animal Hospital in 2005 and is excited to start spending some of her time at Oly Cats. Her veterinary interests include fear free practice, feline medicine, dermatology, geriatrics, surgery, and a budding interest in exotics and wildlife.

  • Dr. Whitney Trepel, DVM

Veterinary medicine is a second career for me. I was originally an engineer, and when looking into graduate school I recognized that veterinary medicine would combine my love of hands-on science with my love of animals. I moved to Olympia from Seattle when I started working at Healthy Pets in 2012 and I couldn’t have hoped for a better town or clinic. I currently live with three cats, all of whom came to our clinic from Animal Services in various states of disrepair, as well as a very tolerant Lab mix named Ned.

  • Dr. Kelly Murphy, DVM

Dr. Kelly Murphy is a south Louisiana transplant and has been living in Olympia, WA since 2008, practicing small animal medicine since 2007. From the time she can remember she wanted to work with animals, not an uncommon story for those in this profession, but a surprise to her parents who though respect animals and have since grown to love them, were not keen on sharing space with the animal kingdom when she was a child. Her interests include internal medicine, client education, and more recently acupuncture. Outside of work she enjoys a challenging hike, camping, photography, reading 3 books at once, live music, and writing about my childhood adventures in Deep Woods. She currently lives with two feline familiars, Dara and Samara, an incredibly cute duo.

  • Dr. Danielle Mechur, DVM

Going to the vet can be stressful for you and your pet. My passion is nurturing the human-animal bond while caring for your pet’s medical needs. I understand that no single approach is right for every individual so I aim to be compassionate and flexible.
I have loved animals from a young age; from walking neighborhood dogs in elementary school to working at veterinary hospitals for many years prior to being accepted to veterinary school at Oregon State University.
My husband, our daughters, 3 dogs and 2 cats moved to Olympia this summer so I could join the amazing team at Healthy Pets.
I enjoy caring for all kinds of critters. In addition to dogs and cats, I am happy to see small mammals, birds, and reptiles. My professional interests include preventative care, dermatology, and surgery. When you see me, don’t worry about how to pronounce my last name, I prefer Dr. Danielle!

Here, she enjoys camping, skiing, running, yoga, seafood and craft beer with her Husband Kyle. They share their home with two rescues, Logan the Border collie, a peanut butter addict, and MacGyver the cat, a notorious escape artist and murderer of insects.

  • Kim Spradlin

I have always loved working with animals ever since I could remember. Doing 4H with horses and leading trail rides as a teenager. So when I started working at Healthy Pets in 2006 as a receptionist I couldn’t have been happier. I have since worked my way up to Hospital Manager and love the relationships I have made with the clients and pets that come thru the door. Outside of work I have fun with my 2 dogs Sullivan and Super Dave, my 2 cats Josie and Norman and riding my Quarter horse Twister. I do have a twin sister that works here as well and we love confusing the new employees.

  • Cameron Wright

    Licensed Vet Technician

I have always had a great respect, love, and fascination with animals. Since I was 15 I’ve been working in pet clinics. I graduated in 2014 from Pierce College’s Veterinary Technician Program and landed my first licensed technician job in an emergency clinic. There is nothing like working in an emergency clinic! Not knowing what will come in next and managing multiple emergency / critical patients naturally leads to fast learning and working well with your team. My son was born on Thanksgiving morning 2017. After my paternity break I moved from swing/overnight shifts at the ER clinic to Healthy pets at the beginning of the year. I have met some great new friends in this new family-esque dynamic. You come across a lot of interesting characters (human and animals) in the vet field! I look forward to meeting every one of you!

  • Kalani Allen

    Licensed Vet Technician

Kalani grew up in Washington state and obtained her technician license in 2012.  Her special interests within veterinary medicine include dentistry, complex anesthesia and pain management.  She lives on a hobby farm with her husband, their three dogs and a vast array of animals including horses, goats, chickens, sheep and a spoiled barn cat. As an outdoor enthusiast, Kalani is usually spending her time outside of work gardening, fishing or archery hunting in the fresh air.
